INFO

CORNFLAKE GIRL (UK) video was the first video shot (1994) from the album Under The Pink. The video was directed by Big TV! (two British men, Andy and Monty). The version of the song used for the video is actually an edit featured on the Cornflake Girl US single. This video was shot at the same time as the God video in Los Angeles.

The UK version of the Cornflake Girl video, which was shot in L.A., is a very different video compared to the US version shot later. This version is primarily black and white and evokes images of The Wizard Of Oz, Alice In Wonderland and The Piano with it surreal shots of Tori spinning through space--along with feathers, shells, and a burning house--dressed in a tattered white dress and furry eskimo boots. She is weighed down by the piano tied to her foot, but an enormous spiderweb catches her fall. With its warped plot, this hauntingly artistic video was adored by European fans. -- All These Years Biography

"The European version of Cornflake Girl came from Andy and Monty. The idea being Dorothy goes to hell instead of Oz. We filmed this where Charlie Chaplin used to hang out and when you're hanging in a spider web things come to you. Like, do the spirits of these people ever drop by to do a little walk down memory lane event. Like Mary Picktora or Bela Lugosi wandering in for some company and maybe a drink..."

Cornflake Girl was released in collectible form in the Tori Amos Video Compilation.
