Tori's albums have often been discussed as seeming to have certain elemental qualities. The elements being the four substances: air, water, fire and earth. These elements were once believed to compose the physical universe rather than the constituents of science. Each element embodies the spiritual and emotional states or spheres that are natural to this world and to each person.
Depending on the culture, there have been more elements aside from the basic four. According to Chinese Feng Shui, the five elements are earth, water, fire, wood and metal. In Aristotelian philosophy and Wicca, the fifth element manifests as the spirit (aether or quintessential). In Ayurveda, a traditional system of Indian medicine based on Hindu mythology, ether or space is the fifth.
In order to align each of Tori's albums with an elemental, the belief systems mentioned above were included. Each element includes album, lyric and photo affinities.
