The fifth UK single from Little Earthquakes
was originally scheduled to be a re-release of Silent
All These Years, but in late May this was postponed in favor of
Crucify. This turned out ot be a fortuitous move as the remixed Crucify became Tori's
highest charting single yet, peaking at number 15
and causing Little Earthquakes to re-enter
the album charts.
Chart success was helped out by
the release of the very limited edition Crucify
live EP box containing four live tracks recorded
April 5th, 1992 in Cambridge, England.
The box also contained a set of four color prints
of the covers of Tori's UK singles; Silent All
These Years, Winter, Crucify and in place of
China, the cover of Little Earthquakes,
because that track is included on the EP. This live EP box is
one of the most collectible and rare Tori items.
Part one of the CD includes more non-LP tracks, the remixed version of Crucify
(shortened from 4:58 to 4:15 and with guitar added) and the wonderful
Here. In My Head and Mary.
The Crucify (LP version) as stated on part one is actually a slightly different
mix from the actual LP version. It is about three seconds shorter, is more
up-tempo and includes additional and different background vocals. The first pressing of the Crucify
7" misprinted "Here. In My Hand" on the label instead of Here. In My Head making
this variation very collectible.
