On May 9, 2000, The Music from and Inspired by M:1-2 (or the Mission Impossible 2 Soundtrack
was released in US stores on the Hollywood Records label. It includes Tori's new song, Carnival,
which is a remake of the classic Manha de Carnaval. This song originated from a 1959 film called, Black Orpheus.
The lyrics are not originally by Tori, they are just one of the many translations of this song. However, Tori did include some of her own words and improvisation towards the end of the song.
Also included on the album is a beautiful instrumental track, Nyah by Hans Zimmer featuring Heitor Pereira, which
keeps with the Spanish theme that Tori's song sets. The cd's liner notes include thanks to Tori's manager, Arthur Spivak, and tour manager, John Witherspoon.
